Text of My Speech

I am not the best music player, nor the worst. I have never been swimming in the ocean, been skydiving with a bird, or dived into a pool only 10ft deep. I might never learn how to hang-glide or love sandals. I doubt I will like Tale of Two Cities, but I will find someone that does. Hi my name is Jacob H and I will tell you of what I expect for my freshmen year.


I hope to have the best year I can here because it will brighten my years to come. I may never learn how to write a perfect speech or essay, but I will learn how to be a better student, academically and citizenship wise. My classes may be a little boring so far, but since the teachers here are so cool I might make it through to about maybe November. You may think’, Oh my gosh! High school is going to be so hard after what he said,’ but it won’t if you follow the plan.

The plan is simple. I’ll tell it in the easiest way possible. You must never be late to class. You will get in trouble except for the first two times. I will so be late. Not really. After the two times you will face more consequences one after another if you are late multiple times. That would suck. If you stick to the plan it will be a piece of cake.

I think my life as a freshmen will be simple if I try to get all A’s and B’s in every class, but that will not happen any time soon. I want to join as many clubs as I can so I will have a better chance of looking for a great career. Even though people say English is hard in high school it really isn’t.

I hope to fulfill one of my hopes which is actually make more than a few friends in one school year. Having more friends means you have better chances to meet some of their friends. Boys I’m talking to you. You might actually make more friends if you’re nicer, not a jerk, smart, funny, and wise. That will make friends.
